Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops to capture user needs, journeys, and pain points across customer, field, and back-office experiences.
- Conduct user research, persona definition, and empathy mapping tailored to Utilities-specific processes (e.g., asset management, service requests, and field operations).
- Develop user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to visualise and refine design concepts.
- Validate design decisions through usability testing, stakeholder feedback, and iterative design cycles.
- Create high-fidelity UI designs aligned with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and corporate brand guidelines.
- Define and maintain reusable design components and patterns, ensuring consistency across Sales, Service, Field Service, and Experience Cloud applications.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure feasibility, design fidelity, and precise handoff using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
- Partner with Product Owners and Business Analysts to translate functional requirements into user-centric design artefacts.
- Work closely with Solution and Technical Architects to ensure design alignment with the overall platform architecture and scalability standards.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives.
- Present design concepts, rationale, and usability findings to both business and IT stakeholders.
- Champion accessibility, responsiveness, and mobile-first design principles across all Salesforce user interfaces.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility standards and Salesforce UX best practices to deliver inclusive and effective experiences for all users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, or related field.
- Salesforce UX or UI certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in large-scale digital transformation programmes within energy or utilities sectors preferred.
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer within Salesforce multi-cloud programmes (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, and Experience Cloud).
- Demonstrated understanding of Utilities business processes, particularly field operations, asset management, and customer service workflows.
- Deep familiarity with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and Salesforce platform design constraints.
- Strong proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent design and prototyping tools.
- User research artefacts such as detailed personas, empathy maps, and journey maps that capture user needs, motivations, and pain points.
- Well-structured information architecture documents and user flow diagrams to define intuitive navigation and interaction pathways.
- Wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and iterate on proposed user experiences before development.
- Design specifications fully aligned with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) standards to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Thorough accessibility and usability testing reports documenting findings, recommendations, and design improvements.
- Final UI design assets prepared for seamless handoff to development teams, ensuring design accuracy and implementation quality.
