Job description
About the Role

Team Educate is currently recruiting dedicated and experienced tutors to provide face‑to‑face tuition in Exeter. You will be supporting pupils on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis, helping them to build confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve their academic potential.

Tuition may take place in schools, alternative provisions, community settings, or pupils' homes, depending on the assignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality, engaging face‑to‑face tuition
  • Plan and adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs
  • Support pupils academically and emotionally where required
  • Provide feedback and progress updates to Team Educate
  • Maintain professional boundaries and follow safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements

To work with Team Educate, candidates must meet the following safer recruitment requirements:

  • Relevant teaching or tutoring experience
  • A recognised teaching qualification or strong subject‑specialist background (preferred)
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Two professional references (at least one relating to work with children or young people)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to travel locally for face‑to‑face sessions
