An opportunity has arisen within The Countess of Chester Hospital Foundation Trust for a full-time Trust Specialty Registrar ST3+. This post offers an opportunity to expand and broaden your experience in a friendly and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will participate in the General Medicine Registrar on-call rota. Specialty allocation will be dependent on service needs.
Employed on Local Terms and Conditions that mirror 2016 Junior Doctor Contract.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
On-call Arrangements The post-holder will provide middle grade cover at the Countess of Chester Hospital site on a full shift rota. Current rota is a 1 in 11 including night and weekend shifts. All patients are seen either in the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care Unit or Acute Medical Unit (AMU), with triage to the Coronary Care Unit or the Respiratory Support Unit.

The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations:
The Trust employs over 5916 staff (headcount) which includes temporary bank staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services and obstetric services to a population of approximately 411,000. This includes 361,000 residents in Chester and West Cheshire which includes Ellesmere Port and Neston as well as the Deeside area of Flintshire which has a population of approximately 50,000.
