Job summary

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Trust Doctor in Ophthalmology. This 12-month fixed-term role requires an MB BS, GMC registration, and prior experience in vitreoretinal surgery. Successful candidates will have strong skills in cataract surgery and innovation in ophthalmology. Qualifications

  • 4-5 years as an Ophthalmic resident or equivalent.
  • Surgical experience at Registrar/SpR level.
  • Independent cataract surgeon with broad general ophthalmic training.
  • Basic vitreoretinal surgical experience.
  • Exposure to basic vitreoretinal and medical retina clinics/theatre.
  • Previous experience of vitreoretinal surgery.
  • Research experience.

Vitreoretinal Ophthalmology Fellow 12 month Fixed Term with possible extension 10th June 2026 onwards 10 Sessions

Main duties of the job

We are currently seeking a motivated ophthalmologist to take up the position of Ophthalmology fellow. This is an important post within the department, and we are hoping to recruit an innovative and committed individual.
