Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate in Basingstoke to support individuals affected by domestic abuse. The ideal candidate will provide emotional support and advocacy to children and young people, work with families to strengthen relationships, and liaise with various agencies. This full-time permanent role requires a flexible approach, including on-call duties. Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience with vulnerable individuals are essential. Training and ongoing development will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and adults at risk, ideally in safeguarding or family support services.
• Confidence in managing a caseload and building relationships with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse.
• Deliver safety planning, emotional support, and advocacy in community settings.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota for crisis support.
