Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Masham (North Yorkshire) or Alcester (Birmingham)

Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 DOE

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday | Flexible start (8am/9am) and finish (4pm/5pm) | Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join a leading multi-site drinks manufacturing business. Based from either our Masham or Alcester site, you will play a key role in ensuring our logistics operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on time.

This role will suit someone highly organised, with excellent communication skills, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary escalation point for delivery-related issues, ensuring timely resolution of delays, misloads, or last-minute changes.
  • Plan and optimise routes for artic and tanker vehicles, balancing efficiency and service levels.
  • Liaise with drivers and 3PL logistics partners, conducting driver debriefs and ensuring smooth communication across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to proactively manage any transport challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
About You
  • Proven experience in a Transport Planner or similar logistics role.
  • Strong knowledge of transport operations, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Confident communicator, capable of liaising with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • IT proficient, with experience using transport planning systems and Microsoft Office.
