Transport Office Assistant / Administrator

Location: Kings Norton

Job Type: Permanent

Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

We are looking to employ a Transport Office Assistant / Administrator to support our busy transport office.

The successful candidate must have previous experience working in a transport office and be confident handling day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • General office administration, filing, and record keeping
  • Organizing and communicating with drivers
  • Sending and receiving text messages to and from drivers
  • Liaising with customers and drivers via telephone
  • Updating internal systems and making accurate notes
  • Supporting office staff and responding to queries throughout the day
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a transport office environment
  • Confident using computers and multiple business applications
  • Strong communication skills (telephone and written)
  • Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn our operating system and follow instructions from senior staff
  • Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Kings Norton
  • Flexible attitude to hours of work, as there maybe occasions they will need to support after SWH.
