Overview

Transport Coordinator - Out-of-Hours Operations

Location: Huntworth Mill, TA6 6LQ

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time. Monday-Friday 4:00pm-8:00pm (with phone cover ideally until 10:00pm) and Saturday 8:00am-2:00pm.

We’re looking for a dedicated Transport Coordinator to take charge of our bulk haulage operations outside of standard working hours, ensuring everything stays on track and on time.

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinating deliveries and collections to ensure smooth, safe, and compliant operations
• Acting as the first point of contact for drivers and internal teams
• Monitoring vehicle tracking systems and resolving any issues
• Supporting health & safety and ensuring duty of care is upheld
• Escalating urgent matters to senior transport managers
• Experience in transport planning is helpful but not essential
• CPC qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
• Strong understanding of transport compliance and tachograph regulations
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with vehicle tracking systems
• A calm, reliable, and solution-oriented approach
