A leading retail and wholesale company based in Pontefract is seeking a dedicated individual to support compliance for their Operator Licence. This role includes overseeing vehicle maintenance, ensuring legal adherence, and maintaining audit-ready driver records. Qualifications

• GCSE Maths & English grade C or above or equivalent.
• Administrative experience is essential.
• Previous experience in transport & logistics environment required.
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• Ability to analyze verbal and numeric data.
• Able to work on own initiative and under pressure.
• National CPC holder required.
• Previous knowledge of working within retail/wholesale environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of Vehicles Road Transport law necessary.
• Experience with fleet administration is preferred.
• Knowledge of Operator licensing compliance matters.

Responsibilities

• Support compliance of Operator Licence general undertakings.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure all legal requirements are met.
• Maintain complete and audit-ready driver records.
• Ensure drivers’ hours and tachographs rules are observed.
• Monitor vehicle records and ensure their serviceability.
• Conduct regular ‘spot checks’ on drivers and vehicles.
• Liaise with suppliers and review performance against KPIs.
• Support internal and external audits.
