📇 Training Delivery Instructor - Mechanical Engineering

⏰ Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis

📍 HMS Sultan, Portsmouth

🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Job Description : What you'll be doing
  • Delivering training to groups of trainees in Mechanical Engineering - both practical and theory based.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with trainees and colleagues.
  • Support course documentation updates and provide feedback on student assessments.
  • Apply best practices to improve training quality and effectiveness.
  • Monitor learner progress and ensure training meets performance targets and standards.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to personalise training and maintain professional development
What we're looking for
Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in the use of IT (hardware / software) within the workplace.
  • Competent Mechanical hand skills.
Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in Marine Engineering
  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification / DTC Defence Trainer Course or equivalent.
  • Previous training experience in an engineering environment

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non‑working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata'd and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
