  • Job Title: Trainer Assessor
  • Salary: £ 29,710- £ 39,948
  • Location: PMC/Engineering Centres
  • Hours and Weeks per Year: 37 hours / 52 weeks

Role focus: In the role of Trainer Assessor, you'll predominantly be based at PMC/Engineering Centres and your focus will be on: to work with a caseload of apprentices from sign up through to end point assessment to develop the required knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) held within the Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship Standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct work placed reviews.
  • Assess KSBs within college and the workplace.
  • Track apprentice progress via E-Portfolio systems.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Set individual Smart targets for your case load of apprentices.
  • Liaising effectively with employers and working closely with work placed mentors.
  • Delivery of specific units within mandated qualifications.

Ideally, you'll have your Assessor qualifications and teaching qualification or a wiliness to work towards them. Have relevant engineering vocational knowledge to assess and undertake engineering work placed reviews. It's important that you're able to communicate effectively, engage with young people and stakeholders whilst demonstrating our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
