The School and Role

Vision for Education are looking for passionate and motivated individuals who are eager to start a career in education. Through our National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP), you ll secure a paid 5-day placement in a Primary School, supported by free online training to prepare you for the role.

On successful completion of the programme, you will be placed in the same school or another suitable setting, ready to begin your journey as a Teaching Assistant.

To be considered for the National Teaching Assistant Programme, you should have:

  • The ability to build positive relationships with children and young people
  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes for pupils
  • Flexibility, proactivity and a strong team ethos
  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding
  • The ability to clearly explain at interview why you want to start a career in education and your understanding of the Teaching Assistant role within a school community
