A reputable inspection firm in Barnsley is seeking Trainee Industrial Radiographers to join their experienced team. Qualifications

  • Previous experience of Radiographic examination preferred but not essential.
  • Willingness to undertake further training to the company's written practice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified Radiographers in day-to-day testing of components.
  • Prepare components for inspection.
  • Perform light & dark room duties.
  • Maintain general housekeeping.

Job Description

Our client is an Inspection company based in Barnsley.

They are the largest Independent Radiography company in the UK. Due to continued growth, they require 2 Trainee Industrial Radiographers to work alongside our current experienced team of Radiographers.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Assist qualified Radiographers in day-to-day testing of components using Gamma, X-Ray & High Energy X-ray (Linear Accelerator)
  • Preparing Components for Inspection.
  • Light & Dark Room Duties.
  • General Housekeeping.
Knowledge, Experience & Key Skills
  • Previous experience of Radiographic examination. (not essential as training will be provided)
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills are a must.
  • Experience using both overhead Cranes & Fork trucks would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work using own initiative, as well as within a team.
  • Methodical & able to follow instruction.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate shall be willing to undertake further training to the companies written practice (SNT-TC-1A).

The Package

These are permanent roles. Hours of work 36 Hour week, we work a three-shift system the current vacancies are for 1 trainee for each of the shifts, morning, afters and nights.
