Job description

A Trainee Quantity Surveyor is required to join a civil engineering contractor specialising in groundworks for housing developers.

Main Duties

• Assisting Senior QS with contract pricing (Target Cost)
• Assisting with subcontract liabilities/subcontract payments
• Assisting Senior QS with CVR reports (Cost/Value Reconciliation)
• Assisting Senior QS with AFP's (Application For Payments)
• Producing quotations to the client as and when required
• Procurement of subcontractors, including subcontract enquiries and orders
• Analysing internal costs relative to project works, maximising value/minimising cost for the business
• Site visits as and when required

The role will suit someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to gain experience and progress their career with a structured plan for development implemented.

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Previous experience of working in a construction or quantity surveying role or have recently achieved a construction based qualification.
• Be driven and ambitious and want to progress your career.
• Have excellent communication skills.

Remuneration is negotiable dependent upon experience, up to £30,000 p.a including company vehicle and attractive benefits package.
