As a Trainee Nuclear Control Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of operations that keep our Royal Navy’s nuclear submarines mission ready. This is a unique opportunity to develop specialist skills in high-voltage electrical systems and nuclear safety, while contributing to projects that protect national security. You’ll gain hands on experience, work alongside industry experts and build a career that truly matters.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure continuity of all essential services to nuclear submarines and the support of nuclear facilities across the DRDL estate & the tidal X-berths.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You’ll work a rotating shift pattern covering days, backs and nights. Once fully qualified, you’ll receive RA120 – a 40% allowance – for night shifts.
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) / Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) security clearance for this role.
