Job description
Overview

Our client is looking for a practical, detail-focused person to help check and confirm the accuracy of our water network records. This role ensures that what's shown on their maps matches what's actually in the ground, helping their leakage detection teams work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check network records - Compare maps and drawings with the real network, confirming pipe sizes, materials, valve and hydrant locations.
  • Test flows and pressures - Open/close valves, measure water flow and pressure to confirm network performance.
  • Verify boundaries - Make sure district metered areas (DMAs) and boundaries are correct, with no unrecorded connections.
  • Inspect assets - Check for visible leaks, damage, or faults while on site and report any issues.
  • Update records - Feed accurate information back into the asset management system.
Why This Role Matters

Accurate records are essential for finding and fixing leaks quickly. Incorrect maps or boundaries can cause leaks to go undetected for years, wasting water and increasing costs. Your work will directly improve efficiency and help meet leakage reduction targets.

Skills & Experience
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of water networks (training provided).
  • Ability to use maps, drawings, and digital tools.
