A healthcare organization in Scunthorpe is looking for a Trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. This full-time role includes training and offers the chance to work alongside skilled therapists. Candidates should have a relevant first degree and be committed to delivering High Intensity CBT interventions. The position is designed to evolve into a permanent role post-training with face-to-face interventions required.

As a trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist you will gain the opportunity to learn and work alongside team highly skilled and diverse therapists. We are proud of the high quality of service we offer to our community. You will be joining our highly motivated and skilled team.
In this role, you will provide High Intensity CBT interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training which commences in March 2026 in collaboration with the University of Hull. The post is full time 37.5 hours. This training post will equip you to deliver a range of evidence based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions to clients with a range of common mental health problems in primary care.
You will be required to attend taught and self-study days provided by the University two days a week. The remaining 3 days of the week you will work at the North Lincs Talking Therapies service.
This role is fixed term for 12 months, which will become a permanent band 7 High intensity CBT post on successful completion of the course within the time frame specified.
Please note that this is not a remote only post. You will be required to deliver face to face interventions at the office base as part of the training course.
There will be a joint interview with Hull University - date to be confirmed.
