A healthcare provider in Scunthorpe is seeking a trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. This full-time position involves providing CBT interventions, while receiving training with the University of Hull starting March 2026. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and experience in mental health services. This role is fixed-term for 12 months and offers opportunities for permanent placement upon successful qualification.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 4 dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join RDASH Talking Therapies in North Lincolnshire.
As a trainee High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist you will gain the opportunity to learn and work alongside a team of highly skilled and diverse therapists. In this role, you will provide High Intensity CBT interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training which commences in March 2026 in collaboration with the University of Hull. The post is full time (37.5 hours). This training post will equip you to deliver a range of evidence based CBT interventions to clients with a range of common mental health problems in primary care.
This role is fixed term for 12 months, which will become a permanent band 7 High intensity CBT post on successful completion of the course within the time frame specified. The training involves attending taught and self-study days provided by the University two days a week; the remaining three days will be spent at the North Lincs Talking Therapies service.
Please note that this is not a remote-only post. You will be required to deliver face to face interventions at the office base as part of the training course.
Candidates must have a first degree in an allied discipline (usually Psychology) to be considered. Candidates from a PWP background must have been qualified as a PWP for more than two years by the course start date to meet national expectations. Candidates are not eligible to progress if they are already registered on a Health Education England (HEE) funded programme.
Candidates must meet one of the BABCP core mental health profession requirements, or alternatively may complete a KSA portfolio by the end of the first module:

Applicants without a core profession must complete a KSA portfolio by the end of the first module. A partially completed portfolio should be presented prior to interview with statements included for all sections. Supporting evidence and signatures will not be required at interview. The partially completed KSA portfolio should be available to the university prior to interview; feedback will be provided after interview to assist portfolio completion.
