My client based in Headcorn is growing their team and looking to recruit and an Trainee Food Materials Handler to their well established team. You will need a driving license due to location and the company will be relocating to Ashford within 2026. My client is within the food manufacturing industry and are looking for individuals with the right ethics, morals and characteristics with someone who has worked within the Food Hygiene Industry.

Day to day of the Trainee Food Materials Handler

• Read from a recipe list and pick out the appropriate ingredients, including weighing out the correct amounts.
• Moving bulky ingredients around the factory ready for the cooks.
• Handling heavy products, 25kg tubs and bags.
• Measure out appropriate ingredients and storing items correctly for safety purposes.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and practices.
• Communicate with line managers on stock levels and what needs to be ordered.
• Protecting yourself wearing PPE that will be allocated to you.
• Keep areas clean and tidy.

Requirements of the Trainee Food Materials Handler

• Driving License.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Someone who has experience being in a physically strenuous job role or lifestyle.
• Uses your initiative.
• Positive nature and outgoing.
• Experience in the food Hygiene industry is a must, if that's hospitality, food manufacturing etc.
