A public transport company in Newport is seeking Trainee Bus Drivers to join its team. As a key worker, you will provide essential services to the community, ensuring safe and reliable transportation for various needs. Bus driving is a rewarding career. You'll be providing a crucial service that customers value and rely on. Getting to work or school, important doctor's appointments, popping to the shops, heading into town or the journey home. Bus drivers are key workers who keep everyday life moving for local communities.
You'll be out on the road, working on your own initiative. At the same time, you will be part of a close-knit driving team, who look out for each other. Every day brings something different. You'll meet some amazing people along the way.
These full time posts are permanent. You will work 38 hours per week on a variety of shift patterns including morning, evenings and weekends.
Join us as a Trainee and you will earn: £14.50 per hour, rising to £15.00 per hour after your 5 week training period, then rising to £16.00 per hour after 12 months.
The minimum age is 18, with at least 6 months' driving experience. Don't worry if you've never driven anything bigger than a car before. We provide top‑class training on our modern, automatic buses.
