Trainee Assessor - Health and Social Care
Location: Cardiff (Head Office)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £24,638 - £25,709 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 16:30

The Role

As a Trainee Assessor, you'll support learners undertaking Health and Social Care apprenticeships, helping them gain the skills and confidence to succeed in the sector. You'll receive structured training and guidance to develop your own skills as an assessor while making a meaningful impact on learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver structured support and assessments to learners across South Wales
  • Create and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Evaluate workplace evidence against qualification standards
  • Maintain accurate learner records and ensure audit compliance
  • Support learners with additional training needs and in-house sessions
  • Track learner progress and contribute to performance targets
About You

You'll bring hands-on experience in Health and Social Care and a passion for supporting others. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to transition into a training and assessment role.

Essential Criteria
  • Occupational experience in Health and Social Care
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to undergo DBS and EWC registration (costs covered)
  • Welsh language skills are desirable
Desirable
  • Experience in training or assessment
  • A recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. A1, TAQA, CAVA)
