Overview

Trainee Aerospace Assembler | Cambridge | £15.57ph (depending on experience)

Looking to retrain into a hands-on career? Already confident using tools and working in a workshop or trade setting? If you've worked in carpentry, joinery, assembly or kitchen fitting, this is a fantastic opportunity to transition into aerospace manufacturing. You'll receive full training and be paired with a buddy to guide you through your first few weeks.

  • £15.57ph starting pay ~ plus overtime at 1.5x = £23.35ph (depending on experience)
  • Day shifts only — Monday to Friday, with early finish Fridays (1pm)

Responsibilities
  • Using hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble parts
  • Reading technical drawings and following assembly instructions (training provided)
  • Preparing materials and ensuring components fit correctly
  • Working in the final assembly area to fit and finish high-end aircraft interiors
  • Assembling and installing front row monuments such as bulkhead units, crew storage, and class dividers to the highest aerospace standards
Experience & Qualifications
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools such as riveters, drills, and sealant guns
  • Background in carpentry, joinery, fitting, or composites
  • Hands-on experience in a workshop or trade environment
  • Fast learning and a desire to apply existing skills in a new industry
