Train Cleaner

Based at Allerton Depot, Liverpool

The role and about you

As a Train Cleaner, you will be responsible for the deep cleaning of train interiors, ensuring they are spotless for passengers. This is a hands-on role that requires you to be physically fit and capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 26kg.

Your duties will include wiping and sanitising all surfaces and touch points, hoovering and mopping floors, dusting and cleaning windows, cleaning and restocking toilets.

You will work a demanding shift pattern across a 7-day week, specifically on a 4 on 4 off / 5 on 3 off rota. The working hours are 20:15 to 05:00, so a commitment to working nights is essential.

You are a motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in their work. You thrive in a physically demanding role and are prepared to work nights as part of a varied shift pattern. You must also be able to pass a full railway medical (including sight, hearing, and colour vision tests) and a comprehensive drug and alcohol test.
