Town Planner

Location: Preston

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Town Planner to play a key role in shaping development projects across the region. You will manage planning applications, provide expert advice, and work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and submit planning applications for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Provide clear, practical planning advice to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with planning policies.
  • Review and assess planning documentation, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Support junior planning staff and contribute to team development.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Town Planner, ideally within property development or planning consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning policies, legislation, and local planning frameworks.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and work collaboratively.
  • Membership of the RTPI or equivalent professional body is desirable.
