Job Title: Topographical / Multi-Skilled Surveyor

Location: Whiteley, UK - Office & Site-Based

Contract: Full-time

Our client are a growing geospatial surveying company where accuracy, innovation, and teamwork are central to everything they do. They're looking for a Topographical / Multi-Skilled Surveyor to join their expanding team and help deliver high-quality geospatial data for projects across the UK and beyond.

Working across a broad range of sectors— including construction, infrastructure, and environmental development—you'll use the latest total stations, GNSS, and 3D laser scanning technologies to capture and deliver precise survey data. You'll collaborate with experienced colleagues in a supportive environment that values professional growth, technical excellence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

This role is ideal for someone with at least one year's experience in topographical surveying who is keen to broaden their expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct topographical surveys, producing accurate 2D & 3D data deliverables.
  • Operate a variety of survey instruments—including total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners, and drones (UAVs).
  • Process survey data, create CAD drawings, and develop digital terrain models to industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other survey teams (utility, BIM, and engineering) to provide integrated project solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and safety of all survey outputs.
  • Maintain equipment and manage field documentation effectively.
  • Occasionally travel to sites across the UK and abroad for short-term fieldwork assignments.
What you need
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in topographical surveying.
  • Strong understanding of survey principles and data collection methods.
  • Confident using total stations and GNSS equipment; experience with laser scanning or UAVs desirable.
  • Competent in data processing and CAD drafting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).
  • CSCS card (preferred, training can be provided).
  • Willingness to work in varied environments and undertake occasional travel.
  • Desire to work hard, be a team player, use own initiative and strive for continued personal development.
