A leading timber frame manufacturer in the UK is seeking an experienced Timber Frame Designer to join its collaborative design team. The ideal candidate will produce accurate CAD drawings for diverse timber frame projects and liaise closely with clients and engineers. Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate CAD drawings for timber frame projects.
  • Work closely with clients, engineers, and project managers.
  • Resolve design and detailing issues related to timber construction.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with building regulations.
  • Support the manufacturing team by providing production drawings.
  • Maintain drawing records and documentation for projects.
  • Contribute to design reviews and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Liaise with site and factory teams to resolve technical queries.

Are you an experienced Timber Frame Designer with great knowledge in HSBcad? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading timber frame manufacturer currently expanding with significant investment in new manufacturing equipment. You'll be part of a collaborative design team in a company renowned for low staff turnover and strong progression opportunities.

As a Timber Frame Designer, you will:
  • Produce accurate CAD drawings for timber frame projects, including joists, trusses, roof cassettes, and wall panels.
  • Work closely with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Resolve design and detailing issues related to timber construction.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with building regulations, industry standards, and company guidelines.
  • Support the manufacturing team by providing clear and accurate production drawings.
  • Maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation for projects.
  • Contribute to design reviews and suggest improvements for efficiency and buildability.
  • Liaise with site and factory teams to resolve technical queries.
What we are looking for:
