Job summary

A local manufacturing company in Newcastle upon Tyne seeks an experienced Production Operator / TIG Welder. This role involves TIG welding, metal finishing, and production tasks within a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have proven TIG welding experience, attention to detail, and good workshop safety knowledge. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00. Competitive pay at £13-£14 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding, especially with white-metal alloys.
• Reliable and punctual, capable of working in a small team.
• Basic familiarity with computers or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding of white-metal alloy components.
• Conduct grit blasting and glass bead blasting of parts.
• Engage in foundry processes and de-burring for quality finishes.
• Clean, package, and label finished components.
