Fabricator / Welder - Permanent Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established engineering company. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position with excellent pay, regular day shifts, and long-term stability.

Location: Tamworth
Salary: £16.00 per hour + benefits
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7.00 am - 3.30 pm
Friday: 7.00 am - 2.00 pm

The Role

As a Fabricator / Welder, you'll be responsible for:

  • Fabricating and welding steel, aluminium, and stainless components
  • TIG welding (stainless pipework essential; aluminium an advantage)
  • Preparing and finishing materials before welding (cutting, marking, cleaning, deburring)
  • Reading engineering drawings to create accurate cutting and bolt lists
  • Carrying out quality checks and signing off completed work
  • Operating CNC machinery, press brake, and guillotine
  • Loading/unloading deliveries and maintaining a clean, safe workshop
  • Supporting continuous improvement by suggesting process/machine efficiency's
About You
  • Minimum 3 years' TIG welding experience
  • CNC experience plus sheet metal and machine maintenance background
  • High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Forklift licence would be a bonus, but not essential
