Job summary

A reputable childcare agency is seeking a part-time nanny carer for an 11-year-old with mild cerebral palsy in Burghclere, Hampshire. The role offers up to 30 hours a week, flexible across four days, including a Saturday shift. Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description
Three/Four Day Nanny Carer - Burghclere, RG20

We are looking for a part‑time nanny carer to support our 11‑year‑old daughter who has mild cerebral palsy. She has other siblings at home, but care for them is not required.

Ideal hours: 30 hours per week over 4 days – Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00 am–10:00 am and 3:00 pm–7:30 pm, and Saturday 10:00 am–5:30 pm / 9:00 am–4:30 pm during term time. The nanny will have one Saturday off each month, agreed in advance on a rota. Saturday hours will be spread over the other three weekdays to keep the salary consistent. We are also open to candidates who can cover part of the hours or only afternoons, even if just one or two days a week.

During school holidays hours are condensed to 10:00 am–5:30 pm / 9:00 am–4:30 pm across the week, with overtime available on workdays.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with dressing, washing and other personal care as required.
  • Provide healthy meals and snacks.
  • Drive to school, hospital appointments, clubs and other outings.
  • Ensure the child is happy, safe and supported.
  • Complete nursery duties such as laundry, tidying child areas and child admin.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks when time allows.
  • Organise community outings and plan fun activities during school holidays.
Working Hours & Schedule

Up to 30 hours per week, ideally 3–4 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday). Availability for additional days or part‑time coverage is welcomed.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with cerebral palsy is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Up‑to‑date enhanced DBS certificate.
  • 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Minimum of two professional referees, including current or last employer.
Salary & Benefits

£19 gross per hour. Approx. £29,640 gross per annum if all hours are worked.

Burghclere, Hampshire, RG20. Job starts ASAP. This is a permanent position.
