Position Summary

As Therapy Development Manager Scotland & North of England, it is your responsibility to raise awareness and accomplish sales of the ZOLL Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator (WCD) LifeVest as a bridging tool to optimized medical therapy; for patients at risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD). While the WCD has already been commercially available in the UK for several years; you will be responsible for creating and growing a customer base to increase the number of prescriptions and revenue for these devices within your territory. You will analyze the current market situation and will collaborate with different functional groups and team members to execute business strategies and actions that will both increase LifeVest therapy penetration and establish a foundation for future growth of the business. You will also be responsible for fitting and training patients on the use of the devices. As a growing, dynamic team there is an expectation to support other colleagues where necessary across the UK. The primary discipline of your work and customer base is in the Cardiology, Interventional cardiology, Heart Failure and Electrophysiology fields, including emergency, resuscitative and intensive care.

Your main responsibilities entail
  • Increase awareness in your territory by visiting hospitals and speaking to physicians about the risk of SCD to promote prescriptions and grow the customer base (new and existing)
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, and provide upon request an action plan for targeting new customers where awareness is low
  • Develop strategies for increasing product awareness
  • Plan and execute product trainings and introductions for Physicians and hospital staff
  • Report activities and progress in regular intervals
  • Patient support services including patient fittings and technical support hotline
  • Monitor patients in an online network for discussion with Physicians
  • Participate, network and advertise on relevant international Cardiology conferences
  • Collaborates with Market Access and Clinical Operations to develop KOL Management Programs and regular contact to international Cardiologists and customers
  • Collaborates with reimbursement and market access colleagues and Clinical Operation team to identify evidence requirements for improved access in the UK and Ireland
  • Supports the creation of program-specific evidence generation plans to fulfill this goal
  • Collaborates with Market Access to work on patient health education programs to support patient societies recognition of ZOLL CMS products
  • Collaborates with the Medical Education group to develop programs that increase ZOLL brand recognition, clinical presence and customer perception at scientific conventions or other relevant Peer > Peer events
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to design and implement promotional programs to maximize impact of sales efforts
  • Collaborates with Admin to ensure invoicing is completed
  • Foster relationships with key clinical individuals / organizations within the industry
  • Perform other duties as assigned
We require the following education and/or experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical field required
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing or field sales position
  • Experience within the cardiac care healthcare arena is beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; strong verbal and written communication skills, and well-honed interpersonal and leadership skills are required
  • Ability to interpret and convey clinical data required
  • Independent thinking and a high level of initiative and the ability to interact well with physician, customers, and key opinion leaders are essential
  • Motivated, independent, proactive, respectful, team oriented with well-developed interpersonal skills both internally with co-workers and externally with customers and business partners
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to work within a fast paced, high visibility role
  • Goal-oriented thinking with a strong hands-on mentality and determination in their approach
  • Fluency in written and spoken English language
  • Flexibility to travel frequently
