Job description

A Therapeutic Lead is required for a warm and welcoming SEMH school in the Sunderland area. This is a full-time role that requires an HLTA qualification or above as you will be leading interventions and ideally have CBT or Counselling experience.

The role starts as soon as possible and is long-term. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers. In addition, ideally, you will be interested in Outdoor learning as each Friday, the school takes children out on Outdoor pursuits.

Responsibilities and Requirements

The ideal candidate would:

  • Have good classroom management skills
  • Have a passion for working as an SEMH HLTA
  • Be able to organise themselves
  • Be able to lead effectively as an HLTA

Although a specific HLTA qualification is not essential, it is desirable, and we can signpost you to training providers to enhance your skills and provide you with this training.

Application Requirements

In addition, you must:

  • Provide two referees we can contact
  • Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on the level of qualification you have achieved and the amount of experience you have to date.
