A local cultural organization in Scotland is seeking a full-time Theatre Technician to join their skilled technical team. The role involves operating shows and maintaining equipment at a busy theatre venue. Ideal candidates will have experience in theatre operations and a dedication to delivering high-quality performances. The position offers a salary range of £27,319 - £31,236 annually and requires 36.25 hours of work per week.
The Byre Theatre, part of the University of St Andrews, is looking for a full time Theatre Technician, to join the highly regarded technical team at this busy 216 seat venue with its programme of professional theatre, dance music and comedy, screenings, community and student productions and events including the term time resident student led Barron Theatre.
This post joins two existing full time and two part time technicians, line managed by the Deputy Technical and Operations Manager and under the supervision of the Head of Technical and Operations. The post holder will be key in ensuring the safe, efficient and sustainable delivery of events and performances with a range of partners, clients and colleagues.
The post holder will operate shows and help maintain specialist equipment and systems on a daily basis while assisting in the maintenance of the premises.
