Job Summary

We are looking for a Theatre Receptionist on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract (with the possibility of being made permanent). Secondment opportunities are also welcome.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide the first point of contact for operating theatres, presenting a professional, calm and confident manner in line with the Trust's Values & Behaviours.
  • To provide a full reception service to operating theatres.
  • Maintaining accurate information and patient demographics within the Trust ORMIS system.

Essential Qualifications
  • 4 GCSE's grade D or above including Mathematics and English or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 in customer care or administration experience including recent face to face working with the general public

  • Basic knowledge of the Receptionist role
  • Knowledge of the importance of confidentiality and data protection issues in a healthcare environment
Desirable Experience and Knowledge
  • Experience of working with clinical teams
