A leading private healthcare facility in the UK is seeking a Theatre Practitioner in Recovery. This full-time role involves ensuring patient safety and mentorship within a collaborative team in the operating theatre. Role: Theatre Practitioner - Recovery
Location: The Portland Hospital
Hours: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Sunday, Occasional Saturdays, 4 days per week – Early (07:30‑16:00), Late (12:30‑21:00) and long days (07:30‑21:00)
Salary: Competitive + Shift Allowance
The Portland Hospital is the only private hospital in the UK dedicated to the healthcare of women and children. We are the UK’s largest private children’s hospital with over 46 paediatric beds, including a 10‑bed intensive care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a day case unit. We care for over 40,000 children a year, delivering treatment for everything from general paediatric conditions to complex craniofacial reconstruction. We have over 175 paediatric consultants who treat children from newborn to age 18, and as the only fully private maternity hospital in the UK we deliver over 1,600 babies a year with consultant‑led and midwife‑led maternity care. Our five theatres provide a professional environment with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, staffed by experienced consultants and practitioners across a range of specialties including Gynaecology & Obstetrics, general and paediatric surgery.
Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration. Minimum 3 years experience in coordination, ordering, first assistant, mentor and oversight of leading other. First surgical assistant certificate and additional skills in the required areas.
