Job description

Are you interested in starting a career in Metallurgical and Mechanical Testing? Do you have excellent attention to detail? Are you competent with Microsoft 365 packages, like Excel?

As a growing business, we are looking to bring a trainee in as administrative support to our Testing and Inspection Department. As a Testing Coordinator, you will work alongside the team of experts and you will have responsibility for the control of material throughout the testing process.

A typical day might look like this;

  • Co-ordinate the flow of all testing work through the Internal Test Centre and External Test Houses.
  • Producing of testing purchase orders in line with internal requirements as well as customer, national and international specifications.
  • Arrange transport to external testing facilities where appropriate.
  • Input and review of external results data on to the ERP system.
  • Highlighting non-conforming test results.
  • Administrative duties such as archiving test reports and samples.
