Job description
Responsibilities
  • Execute activities to realise the V&V IT Strategy, including fixing, improving and transforming current digital capability in accordance with the V&V IT systems roadmap.
  • Elicit, document and maintain customer requirements throughout the solution's lifecycle, from design through to decommissioning.
  • Develop system definitions and solutions using systems engineering methods, conducting design reviews through Technical Councils to ensure alignment of customer requirements with proposed designs.
  • Create and execute verification plans, coordinate system implementations and modifications, and work with multidisciplinary teams to configure and maintain product and component testing arrangements.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrate strong systems engineering thinking with the ability to assess risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Have an understanding of security principles and their application in IT systems architecture.
  • Experience of a test‑facility type environment integrating software with physical systems.
  • Network communication methods, familiarity with UDP, TCP/IP and other network protocols.
  • Show problem‑solving capabilities with experience in troubleshooting technical systems issues.
