Pay and Hours

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. For hours worked between midnight and 6am, an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour applies. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). We aim to support flexibility and will schedule shifts within your available times, with 3 weeks' notice.

Role Overview

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Shift Leader, you'll support store operations, help customers, and lead your team to ensure smooth running of the store. This role offers interesting challenges and opportunities to make a positive impact on customers, colleagues, and communities.

As a Shift Leader, you’ll:

  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Take ownership of duty shifts, coordinating the team to maintain a clean, stocked store
  • Assist customers and ensure they leave satisfied
  • Identify and implement service improvements, coaching colleagues and providing feedback
  • Support colleagues and ensure a safe working and shopping environment
  • Monitor store performance and assist in implementing improvements
  • Lead by example and set a positive tone for the team
