It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

The availability windows shown indicate periods during the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you will have 3 weeks7 notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility: if the times you are available to work match closely but not exactly to the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you.

Pay and Benefits

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 per hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

You will be responsible for

• Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; providing great natural service
• Being passionate and knowledgeable about products and services in the store
• Working across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required
• Applying training to work safely, effectively, and to serve customers brilliantly
• Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering store routines at the right time
• Participating in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere
• Understanding store performance and contributing to service, sales, waste reduction, shrink, and profit
• Handling products with care to maintain quality for customers

• Occasionally accepting deliveries into the store
