Job summary

A housing support organization in Slough is looking for a Temporary Accommodation Visiting Officer to ensure that temporary accommodations are suitable and safe. Qualifications

• Experience in housing, homelessness, or a related field.
• Experience visiting properties and working with vulnerable people.
• Knowledge of homelessness legislation and temporary accommodation standards.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to an insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular visits to temporary accommodation.
• Carry out suitability assessments and identify concerns.
• Engage with residents, supporting their wellbeing.
• Identify safeguarding issues and make referrals.
• Verify occupancy and prevent housing fraud.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives.
