Job summary

A leading flooring materials manufacturing company in Coventry is seeking a Technologist to join their R&D team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the Polymer Processing Industry and a relevant degree. The responsibilities include developing innovative products, supporting manufacturing, and improving processes. The salary ranges from £28,000 to £37,000, with normal working hours being Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.15 pm.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' experience in Polymer Processing Industry.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (car not required).

Responsibilities

  • Develop technically innovative new products.
  • Evaluate and introduce alternative raw materials at laboratory and trial scale.
  • Provide effective technical support to Manufacturing.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the product/process.
  • Identify opportunities for technology transfer and introduce new technology.
  • Undertake internal testing and commission external testing when appropriate.

Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Technologist, to join a Flooring Materials manufacturing company, at their site based in Coventry. The salary for this role ranges from £28,000 - £37,000pa, dependent on experience and ability. The Technologist will take part in key R&D projects, working in the R&D Team. The working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 5.15pm (37.5 hours per week).

Location

The Technologist will be based at the company's site in Coventry, easily commutable from Birmingham.

Technologist Role
  • Develop technically innovative new products
  • Evaluate and introduce alternative raw materials at laboratory and trial scale
  • Provide effective technical support to Manufacturing
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the product/process and reduce cost
  • Identify opportunities for technology transfer and introduction of new technology to deliver innovative new products.
  • Undertake internal testing and commission external testing when appropriate
Your Background
  • At least 3 years' experience in Polymer Processing Industry.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • BSc/MChem/MSci Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (car not required).
