What you will do

Our Van Centre based in Tipton is currently looking for a qualified Van Technician Supervisor with excellent diagnostic and mechanical skills to work a set shift:

Working 45 hours Mon-Fri on an alternating shift pattern of 07.00 - 16.30 and 08.30 - 18.00 with alternate Saturday mornings

Paying c£45,000 dependent on Van Technical skills with Supervisory experience

Flexibility will be required

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
  • Liaise with the Van Centre Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI's etc
  • Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
  • Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
  • Participation in call out and breakdown rota - if/when required
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment
  • Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
  • Complete job cards clearly and accurately
Essential Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Electrical and Mechanical skills and experience
  • Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment
  • Clean Driving Licence – HGV would be an advantage
  • 25 days rising with service.
