Responsibilities

• Perform self-directed test, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
• Supervise and train junior staff and apprentices.
• Carry out feasibility and development activity including reverse engineering.

Contract Length: 6 months

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £21.51 per hour

Spinwell is recruiting for a Technician Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

Responsibilities

• Perform self-directed Test; Diagnostics; Repair; Maintenance; Modification; Calibration and Manufacture of Equipment down to module / individual Component level using approved Engineering Documentation and techniques.
• Hold Self-Certification; Over-Signing; Certifying & Conditioning of Equipment Responsibilities ( for example: Serviceable / Unserviceable / Scrap).
• Supervision; Training and Over-Signing of Junior / Equivalent grade Staff & Apprentices.
• Carry out Feasibility and Development activity, including the Reverse Engineering and Creation of supporting engineering documentation / Test Procedures.
• Use a combination of different client IT software.
• Provide Specialist Advice as required.
• Work within a scheme of Engineering Governance and comply with all Policy and Legislation

Skills / Experience

• Holds relevant: Level 4 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship; or Level 3 qualification, a nationally recognised Electrical/Electronic engineering apprenticeship or Military equivalent.
• Practical engineering experience in one or more of the roles listed.
• Holds relevant: Level 4 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship; or Level 3 qualification, a nationally recognised engineering apprenticeship and practical engineering experience in one or more of the roles listed
