Responsibilities

Collaborate with product, customer success/support, engineering, design, and growth teams on content that will drive organic discovery and customer adoption and engagement. Our content touches our leads and customers across different surfaces, on the website and product. The technical writer will have these core responsibilities:

  • Write, review, publish, and sustain product content, primarily product documentation on the support portal.
  • Create user-centric content that drives customer acquisition, adoption, and success, measured primarily by self-service or deflection rates.
  • Be in lockstep with product updates, closely tying with our product launch workflows.
  • Understand the technology, especially AI, and teams that make up our product and company.
  • Respond to the behavior and needs of customers and customer-facing teams.
  • Hold subject-matter experts and other collaborators accountable for their commitments.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI, analytics, and workflows to increase automation, efficiency, and effectiveness of the documentation process.
Qualifications
  • Experience planning, researching, writing, editing, and sustaining software user documentation, preferably in a startup or mid-sized organization.
  • Excellent skills in product documentation best practices (including grammar, essentialist documentation design, effective information architecture); and interest in refining these practices for the AI era.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as knowledge base management platforms, component content management systems, or docs-as-code with markdown and GitHub.
  • Highly organized and able to triage and prioritize numerous issues and projects in a manner that can be scaled.
  • Ability to succeed in a globally-distributed environment.
  • Alignment with our core cultural values–the 4Hs of hungry, humble, honest, with heart.
