A leading training provider in the automotive sector is seeking a Technical Trainer to deliver core technical training and develop new training materials. The candidate should hold a technical qualification and possess a good level of knowledge around vehicle electrics. Responsibilities include conducting training via various mediums and attending automotive events. Whether it's from the minute learners walk through the door of the National Learning Centre or logging into their Virtual Classroom live in their Retailer, trainers deliver the skills and knowledge required technicians to do their job to the best of their ability, inspiring them to be the best they can be.
Calex specialise in the design, development, and delivery of innovative learning programmes, predominantly within the automotive retail industry, including management, technical, aftersales and apprentice training. More recently we have begun working with forward‑thinking companies within the logistics, food & beverage, and pensions sectors to enhance their training proposition via the implementation of Virtual Learning Environments, Live Broadcasting and Social Learning Platforms.

The Volkswagen Group UK National Learning Centre is the UK's largest automotive training facility. Located in Milton Keynes, the centre is home to the Group's training operations, developing our base of 26,000 retailer learners in the UK. Calex is the supplier of learning services, working in partnership with Volkswagen Group UK.
Place of Work: VGW National Learning Centre (NLC), Wymbush, Milton Keynes. There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations such as (but not limited to) Calex offices, alternative VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role, including international training venues in Germany, Spain or the Czech Republic. Pre‑employment checks: Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated referees, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre‑employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
