Overview

What success looks like in this role:

We are seeking a technically proficient and client-focused System Analyst to support performance capability management across key systems. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for a long-standing financial services client, ensuring system reliability, performance measurement, and technical support across various platforms. The role is based in Milton Keynes with ad hoc travel (1–2 times per month).

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and monitor system capability and performance across multiple platforms (e.g., Linux, Windows, Mainframe).
  • Act as the main liaison between the client and internal teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues and proactive system enhancements.
  • Support system availability and reliability through incident remediation, compliance checks, and operational improvements.
  • Create and maintain system documentation including network diagrams and configuration records.
  • Assist in evaluating client hardware/software requests for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of system-related projects and updates.
  • Travel to client sites on an ad hoc basis (1–2 times per month) as required.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
  • Good technical IT skills, ideally with exposure to systems administration or software support.
  • Understanding of system performance and capacity planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • BA/BS degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to technologies and environments.
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Exposure to system infrastructure principles
  • Familiarity with banking or financial systems.
  • Experience with ClearPath or similar mission critical systems
