A recruitment agency is seeking a Technical Services Manager for Building Fabric in Birmingham. The role involves managing a team responsible for maintenance in a large healthcare site. Ideal candidates have a strong commercial building fabric maintenance background, ideally with experience in healthcare settings. The position offers a salary of £55,000 and a standard working week from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. Additional opportunities for training and responsibilities will be provided.

Job description

Technical Services Manager – Building Fabric – Birmingham

£55000. Mon – Fri 8am to 4pm.

Overview

You will be responsible for the Building, Fabric and Civil Maintenance on a large PFI healthcare site in Birmingham.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Assistant Engineering Managers, Supervisors and Engineers to manage all reactive and planned maintenance which will include all internal and external building fabric work: flat roofs, ceiling tiles, windows, doors, plastering, painting, fire doors, etc.
• Become trained up as an Authorised Person and/or responsible person for confined spaces, working from heights and take on additional duties as required.
• Where required, provide support to the out of hours on call service.

Qualifications

• Ideally, have worked in a healthcare environment before, but anyone with a strong commercial building fabric maintenance background will be considered.
