Job description

Power & Cooling Solutions Engineer

In this role you will be trained as necessary to manage one or more projects concurrently, working effectively and collaboratively across teams to deliver high‑quality solutions for data center and IT facilities.

Responsibilities

• Decipher complex RFP requirements related to facility power and cooling infrastructure, and help IT architects design solutions that fit within those limitations.
• Architect complex power and cooling solutions for air‑ and water‑cooled IT systems.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering subject‑matter experts to determine solution scope, projected costs, and project deliverables.
• Maintain partnerships with internal and external customers to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
• Be actively involved in the physical installation of complex IT systems (air or water‑cooled).
• Provide engineering guidance across power/electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, and controls disciplines.
• Collaborate on projects with multiple organization verticals, partners, and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience working in technology disciplines such as power/electrical or mechanical/thermal engineering.
• Understanding of data center and IT solution power delivery architectures, cooling architectures, and heat transfer.
• Experience providing effective leadership as a technical consultant in the power and cooling subject‑matter area.
• Ability to develop training and knowledge‑base documentation for technical skills.
