Job description

Come and join us as a Technical Sales at our Pinxton office in Nottinghamshire.

Building Product Design is a renowned leader in the fields of roofing ventilation, construction membranes, building ventilation, and specialised building products. Known for their expertise and excellence, they operate two UK manufacturing sites that offer extensive manufacturing and finishing services. Additionally, they boast industry-leading research and development, along with in-house product testing.

About the role:

Ihe role you will generate new enquiries, develop customer relationships, progress projects through to order, and provide technical advice for customers.

You will support our Kingfisher Architectual Louvres products. These are products which provide ventilation, weather protection, and aesthetic screen solutions for buildings.

You will play a key part in helping us develop specification requests by contacting Main/Sub Contractors with the aim of sending the customer quotes as part of a tendering process.

Your duties are varied and include:

  • Providing exceptional customer care
  • Following up on marketing leads
  • Ensuring CRM systems are up-to-date
  • Achieving monthly KPIs and call targets
  • Achieving annual sales target
  • Maximising sales opportunities.
  • Attending customer meetings to discuss specific projects
  • Follow up on quote requests to gather feedback
  • Work towards increasing the number of Key Accounts
  • Prepare monthly forecasts
  • Provide ongoing support and aftercare following the order
Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm

About you

You will have experience in a commercial role where you have exposure to customers via sales, technical support or estimating. You will have provided support to both new and existing business customers.

You will have a commercial mindset, able to explore leads and identify opportunities where our products/solutions could add value to our customers.

It would be advantageous to have experience will have a proven track record of achieving KPIs/targets in an office-based sales environment.

For our Kingfisher products you will need a strong technical mind-set, as you will be trained to understand the technical aspects of our products in detail so you can complete quotations for customers.

You will also have:

  • Strong communication (both written and verbal)
  • Enthusiasm and drive
  • Computer literacy (particularly with Microsoft Office suite and sales CRM systems)
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Positive attitude
