Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Irlam is seeking a Technical QA Assistant. You will maintain the Food Safety System, conduct internal audits, and ensure quality and safety compliance. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Food Safety System policies and procedures.
  • Conduct HACCP studies and manage document control.
  • Coordinate internal audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Collect micro samples as per schedule and ensure traceability.
  • Investigate complaints and perform daily auditing of CCPs.
  • Check daily labels, calibrate equipment, and audit processing records.

The post-holder will be responsible for effectively contributing to the work of the technical department, ensuring that effective technical service to the site is maintained and developed.

The post holder will also be responsible for monitoring the factory quality & food safety systems and for determining that quality, safety, and legality are met at each stage of the process by liaising effectively with all relevant parties in a policing capacity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the Food Safety System policies and procedures

The nature of the role requires a flexible approach to working hours.

Core Working Hours

Days: Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm and one Saturday morning in four.

Requirements

For this Technical QA Assistant role, it is essential you have a minimum of two years in a technical role with a minimum of one year meat industry and BRC experience.
