Technical Operations Coordinator

Our client is seeking a highly organised and solutions focused Technical Operations Coordinator to join their growing IT function. This is a pivotal role within the business, supporting the IT Director and working closely with Development, QA, Infrastructure and wider stakeholders to ensure day to day operations, projects and releases run smoothly and on time.

This opportunity would suit someone who thrives on coordination, communication and keeping multiple teams aligned against shared priorities in a fast paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and coordinate the workload of the Development, QA and Infrastructure teams, ensuring tasks are actioned and followed up within agreed timelines
  • Track progress across teams to identify blockers, risks or divergence from agreed tasks and deadlines
  • Own application support and liaise with relevant IT teams and departments to ensure issues are resolved efficiently
  • Communicate system changes, delays, risks and potential blockers clearly to all relevant stakeholders
  • Chair weekly meetings and daily huddles across the IT department and associated teams
  • Act as the voice of the IT Director when required, ensuring priorities and expectations are clearly understood
  • Keep the IT Director informed of product issues raised by the business and assist in driving resolutions
  • Ensure workforce hours are managed effectively and remain within budgeted targets
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and the QA team to support projects, ensuring requirements are gathered and progress is maintained
Skills, Experience and Training Requirements
  • Proven experience in a team coordination role supporting technical or IT focused teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through to completion
  • Strong organisational skills with a solution focused mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences
  • Ability to analyse data, think flexibly, identify issues and propose improvement options
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to produce clear requirements from undefined or unstructured information
  • Excellent IT skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong leadership, facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • A positive driven approach with determination to achieve targets
